History

In July 2010, educators with an interest in lifewide learning were invited to attend the first International Conference On Learning And Community Enrichment (ICOLACE) at the Hotel Jen Tanglin (then Traders hotel), Singapore. A follow up conference was also held in Singapore in 2012.

At the third ICOLACE conference in 2014, again in Singapore, delegates agreed to formally establish the International Association For Lifewide Learning (IAFLL) as an official medium to:

  • encourage students to set lifewide goals and actively self-manage progress;
  • facilitate networking between educators involved in holistic learning; and
  • convene future ICOLACE events.

The official Certificate of Incorporation for the Association may be viewed at Structure Incorporation Certificate
